Remember how we used to celebrate CNY during primary school times? Those traditional CNY songs, quizzes & games, CNY origin stories, performances in the school hall etc. Somehow the CNY mood weaken yearly, every year I lost relatives & not much places for me to go for visiting. Only these few years, relatives start to nag & ask me about having boyfriend. Such a norm as you reach a certain age. Sometimes going to distant relatives' house, all we could talk about is Singapore's politics, work life & nothing else more.  Kinda boring, zzz. The best thing I did during this festive season was visiting Chinatown after 12 strikes on New Year Eve coz' that is when all the stalls will cut/reduce the prices. Shopped for foods & came back around 4am. Right beside us was a car who just parked few minutes after us, a young chap came out who was the driver, opened the passenger's seat door & tried to wake his friend up. I could only see that fellow leg, it was slim so I thought the person must be his gf who was exhausted after some cny shopping. After waking the person up for 5 minutes, no response was given. I really thought there laid a dead person even when the hands were lifted up, they just fell due to gravity. Oh wait a minute, I forgot to inform you that I was still in my dad's car, fixing the damn window. It got stuck at 4am -_-. After 10 minutes had passed, out came another young chap, obviously he looked drunk. Entirely blonde hair trying to act cool can't even stand on his own. He must have wasted himself on liquors on CNY. Tried to walk & he just collapsed to the ground with a loud thud. Amazingly he's not dead, went back to the car & off they go. Young people nowadays are so brainless. FUN OVER HEALTH?! Many people die at a young age due to reckless driving, drinking, smoking etc. After 30 years, aging population will not be a problem anymore.
